Thank you for your post, but as a scientist i do strongly believe that alkaline water is alkaline simply because it contains more minerals or other things from the water source. And as we all know minerals or trace metals are actually important to our bodies, to provide proper ions for our cellular processes such as cofactors for enzymes. Thats why the general public got the concept of higher pH water is more healthy while weak acid water is bad. Weak acid water here i refer to distilled water acidified by carbon dioxide only. If distilled water is made alkaline by adding sodim hydroxide i sincerely doubt that it does any good to our body, pH is not the reason for the health, what caused the increase in pH is the key factor!
