[Master Entrance Diary #1] Standing on the Philosophical Altitude to Study ︱ 【

Hello everyone, I am Alkaid, a student prepared to transfer from Transportation to Education.

In China, it is time to sign up for the master-level education entrance examination. Although I almost prepared around half a year, I still fell nerves because I feel my brain was just like soaking in the water and I did not remember anything important. I came back home and confirmed the sign-up, and discuss this situation with my dad.

We were trying to find out a solution, and I just answer what he asked according to the textbook which was referred to the examination. However, I even cannot answer the first question he asked me. I fell upset, then my dad explained the deeper meaning of every sentence in the textbook (just one question). I was shocked that whatever I asked then I read the book he can explain it for me, as known he did not study even any of that before. So how did he make it? How is that possible? I tried to find out an answer fit to all question so that I can apply the knowledge what I already have to explain the new knowledge and make a special and perfect answer(at least I hope it looks like 'perfect') in the examination.

Then I asked him is there any possibility to have a One-Fit-All answer or thinking mode. He told me,'Philosophical way.' When you stand on a hill of philosophy then you overlooking to the other subjects, you will feel them easier than when you onlooking from a single subject. Philosophy is the highest describe to the regularity, that is why philosophy makes people wisdom.

I ever studied critical thinking when I started my first lesson in England, I spent some time to understand this word and this thinking mode. And now I know I need to state my view from different angles and judge a case in different areas.

This reminds me of a book from Scott Young called 'Learn More Study Less'(I read the Chinese vision), he came up with a concept called Holistic Learning. Connected the knowledge from the different area will make your study more and better.

Perhaps from the philosophical side, we can learn some very basic regularity of all life, science, etc. Just like what Dao always said 'Dao produce One, One produces Two, Two produces Three, and the Tree produces everything'. If we understand the One, Two and Three, maybe it will be easier.

At last, I am Alkaid, Looking forward to meeting the new friend from Steem. If you have a better learning method, you can reply to me and discuss it.
