Case 1: One assistant policeman was sentenced to one year's imprisonment for illegally inquiring

Case 2: Sentenced to one year and three months to help inquire for information
On April 8, 2018, the Ningbo Zhenhai District Court sentenced Zhan Mou, a policeman, to inquire about information. As a result, his friends engaged in criminal activities according to information. Zhan Mou was sentenced to one year and three months in prison, one year and six months in probation, and a fine of 1000 yuan for infringing upon citizens'personal information.
Case 3: Sentenced for raping a brother and causing death
In 2017, a Kunming man, Zheng Mou, suspected his wife and other men were opening a room. Because he could not access the hotel monitoring, he asked his police friend Li Moujia to help him. Zheng Mou obtained evidence of his wife's derailment and forced Li Mobing, a man who had sexual relations with his wife, to pay 200,000 yuan to break off. Case 4: Auxiliary policemen were sentenced for seeking information for profit
Huang Mou and Miao Yi wanted to start a company and submit the application materials for market name registration to the Bureau of Industry and Commerce, but they had not been approved. They thought it was Wang Mou, a staff member of the Bureau of Industry and Commerce, who was intentionally making difficulties. So they found Miao Jia, a friend who was deputy director of the detention center, and asked to check Wang Mou's personal information, which was used for exposing on-line posts. Article 253 of the Criminal Law is one of the crimes of infringing upon citizens'personal information: if the circumstances are serious, the offender shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not more than three years or criminal detention, and shall also or shall only be fined; if the circumstances are especially serious, the offender shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than seven years. They are also fined. Whoever, in violation of the relevant provisions of the State, sells or provides personal information of citizens obtained in the course of performing his duties or providing services to others shall be given a heavier punishment in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraph. Whoever steals or illegally obtains citizens'personal information by other means shall be punished in accordance with the provisions of the first paragraph.
According to Article 1 of the Interpretation of the Supreme People's Procuratorate of the Supreme People's Court on Several Questions Concerning the Application of Law in Criminal Cases of Infringing on Citizen's Personal Information, Article 253 of the Criminal Law stipulates that "Citizen's Personal Information" refers to the identification characteristics that can be recorded by electronic or other means independently or in combination with other information Identify the identity of a natural person or various information reflecting the activities of a specific natural person, including name, identity card number, communication contact, address, account password, property status, track and so on.
