Hey steemers! It’s been a long time. So sorry that I’ve not updated my blog for 4 months. Before that, lets talk about what I did in these days.

Dream Hunter

Ya, in these 4 months, I’ve been so busy at chasing my dream. As time is running short, I wish to do as many things as possible. As I said I love travel so I’ve applied a position of being part-time editor in a media company writing about travel. LUCKILY, I AM HIRED! It’s the first step to make my dream come true. Even though at the very beginning I felt hard to catch up there, as I work part time there. I need to work a full time job from Monday to Friday, then go to my part time job from Saturday to Sunday. (Yes, I know it’s super crazy) During these months, I had my first article published online and it is worth my effort.

Dream Loser

Ya, life is up and down. I lose my dream too. Why? As I full-time research, I researched a topic about housing problem in Hong Kong recently. Trying to address the serious housing problem in Hong Kong by giving out housing alternatives, I’d like to apply a grant and visit Amsterdam, where is place with creative and effective housing solutions. The grant is given in the form of competition appealing young people to chase their dreams. But in the final interview, the interviewers said my proposal would not be applicable in HONG KONG due to DEVELOPER HEGEMONY. I was really disappointed and didn’t know understand the point of “DREAM”. Under Capitalism, so-called “DREAM” is only a marketing to keep people staying there and working. And your dream even is being judged, whether it is worthy or practical or “value-added” to achieve. Unfortunately, if we all don’t have greater imagination, our society would not be changed. The most point I was so disappointed is that the one who rejected my proposal was the Dean of famous university in Hong Kong, Even an academic was not open-minded and saw things differently, I am really worried about our future.

Don’t GIVE UP, BE A CHANGE MAKER!

Ya, life is really hard. But still I try to be change maker. I hope to change the ridiculous rules offered by elites and developers, and all of us can have says in the society.
