Chongqing, China-Crossing the Yangtze River by Cable Car! 长江索道
Chongqing, China, the biggest city in the WORLD at 28.5 Million People! Makes my hometown of Portland, Oregon (1,000,000) seem like a country village! I lived here for 1.5 years, it is one the Chinese "3 Big Furnaces"(三大火炉) meaning one of the hottest cities in China! The other two are Wuhan(武汉) and Chengdu (成都), I have been to those cities also, they are indeed HOT! In the summer at least!
There are two rivers that converge in Chongqing, the Yangtze River(长江) and the Jialing (嘉陵江) River.
I crossed the river by cable car, here are 3 videos to watch, the cable car system itself and looking across, going across the Yangtze, then coming back over the Yangtze. The trip across costs less that $2.
Check out Chongqing if you can, it is an amazing city with great people and food!
