The first year of the Coca-Cola empire was unprofitable

Initially Cola was bought for only 5-6 glasses per day. Because of this rate the profit of one year was only 50 dollars  (at a cost of $ 70).

Coca-Cola was sold for $ 2000

A little later, things went better. In 1887 was adopted the "dry" law in the state of Georgia. Cola begins to sell better, but the inventor of the drink went bankrupt and forced to sell all of the assets of $ 2,000. It's hard to believe, but once all the Coca-Cola company did have such a value.
