The Agriculture Ministry's importance is to cultivate small-scale 'magic coconuts'

The agriculture ministry is giving importance to the cultivation of small-scale hybrid coconut trees. These coconut trees give about three times more fruit than traditional trees. Not only that, within two to two and a half years after planting saplings.

The newly invented coconut tree gives 150 to 250 fruits per year. The amount is three to five times higher than the native coconut tree. If the height of the tree is 2 to 4 feet, it starts to bear fruit. The Ministry of Agriculture has been emphasizing the production of these coconut trees with diminished. Farmers do not have to wait 6/7 years by cultivating coconut trees.

Two small varieties of coconut trees are cultivated in Bangladesh. One is the complete Hybrid Double coconut and the other is imported from Vietnam, the 'advanced and short' open (OP) varieties. This species, collected from Vietnam, is again made of two types, the Siam Green Coconut and the Siam Coconut. Two species give 150 coconuts a year. But it's not hybrid.

The sources said the ministry has taken initiatives to spread the variety of coconut varieties of different varieties in different districts. Ministry of Agriculture has imported 20,000 gram from this 'magic coconut' recently from Vietnam. Two years after planting this seedling coconut begins to be caught. This coconut is possible to sit on the ground as it touches the ground.

And its yield is about three to five times more than the native variety. In order to meet coconut demand in the country, more than 75,000 seedlings are being imported. These chars will be planted in different parts of the country, apart from 18 districts in the southern region.

According to the sources of the Department of Agricultural Extension, an official of the Ministry of Agriculture recently identified two varieties of coconut. One of the characteristics of that species is that it will be sown from coconut. The pot will come in two to two and a half years. 300 ml of water can be found in each tube. The water of the holy coconut is very sweet and fragrant. It is a breed of species. Easy to put coconut. At present, the attack of females in insecticides has started. It is not possible to kill the big tree. But this tree's sphere can be controlled very easily.

It is learned that the Ministry of Agriculture has taken a new project to produce fruits throughout the year. This project has been named 'Nutrition Promotion Project by Year Production.' In the first step under this project, 20 thousand coconut seedlings have been brought from Vietnam.

Agricultural officials said that the 'Asian Pacific Coconut Community' is working on the development of coconut. Whose head office is in Indonesia. Currently, the company is working with coconut in 18 countries including Bangladesh.

According to a survey report of the company, it is possible to plant 40 million coconut trees in Bangladesh. But the cultivation of improved varieties of coconut was not found. A few years ago, a species from India was introduced but it was not possible to sow it. Because it was a hybrid variety. Then this variety of coconut variety was found in Vietnam.
