What We Know About Black Ops 4 So Far

Sup Everyone, I was gonna make this post a couple of days ago right when the news of BLOPS 4 came out, but technical difficulties with my current laptop prevented me from doing so (right now im relying on an older desktop to write this ).

Keeping it a bit short since details of the game is still very minimal, but... ITS TIME TO GET EXCITED CAUSE BO4 IS Coming!!

Here is the Teaser that Treyarch was nice enough to share with us

So far that 33 second teaser is all that we know about the game so far... which from watching it doesn't really show any kind of gameplay or images from BO4. It basically showed small clips from the campaign, multiplayer, and zombies from Black Ops 1, 2, and 3.

Interestingly, the teaser was not when we all got the info on what the logo for BO4 is gonna look like.

For that we can thank Houston Rocket's James Harden for he was caught wearing a hat that had a logo that strangely looked very similar to the BO3 Logo, but had 4 italics to it instead of 3.

Whether this was coincidental or if he was in talks with Activision in order to pull this ''leak'' off, who knows.

So far any kind of details on what new features the game will have, what time period will it take place in, e.t.c are not really known yet. Still that hasn't stopped people from making speculations that the game will likely take place within a near future period (similar to bo2) and the multiplayer having a Battle Royale Mode (Im not too sure on that tbh).

The Release Date is interesting as the game is planned to be released on October 12. An October release date for a COD game is very rare and has actually only happened twice with the first 2 CODs being the ones to have had a release date in October.

No word on Activision on why the game is being released a month earlier than usual, but the general rumor on the street is that they are concerned both with the sales and current install base of COD WW2 and the anticipation for both a new Battlefield later this year and... Red Dead Redemption 2.

More likely than not, Treyarch may already be done with 90% of the game and with lots of other anticipated games also coming out in the fall, Activision may have decided to push the release date by a month in order to have Black Ops 4 be more competitive.

A reveal event for Black Ops 4 is scheduled for May 17 so until then, don't expect a lot of details for the game to come out until after the reveal.

I'm glad to see that Black Ops 4 is coming and hopefully it will be the game that helps re-energize the COD community which in my view has been on a heavy decline for years. We all thought that WW2 would be the game that would bring all of the old COD fans back and playing the game full time but unfortunately... that didn't happen.
