Should you learn to code?

Maybe.

You remember in school learning math and thinking "When do I ever need this in real life"?
The same is true for writing software, you won't ever need it except of course you want or choose a career where it will be different.

However I would argue that you should learn it anyway - even if you never use it!

The reason is simple: THE WHOLE FUCKING WORLD RUNS ON IT

If something is so fundamental to the life as you know it you should at least get the basic concepts.
You don't need to become a professional nor make it your job put maybe it's worth putting some effort into understanding the concept behind it.

Otherwise people and whole communities come up with ridiculous ideas and soon you have politicians saying that encryption is evil and only used by terrorists.

There is a reason that we have to learn about history, science, languages, math and more in school and for the very same reason you should also learn to code!

TL;DR
If you are actually being proud of being bad at math then no, don't even bother.
For everybody else, yes I believe it would be really helpful to you and society as a whole and the internet gives you ton of free resources to do so.

(One great resource to get started is https://www.codecademy.com - I have nothing to do with them and don't get paid for this recommendation but they are just a genuine good resource for beginners!)

I definitely second this. Great insights.
Another awesome resource is freeCodeCamp.
