First of all let me tell you something about me! i'm a barista apprentice so all in this post will be good info!

What is a barista? is the professional specialized in high quality coffee, who works creating new and diverse ways of doing it, with various types of milk, essences and liquors, among others. He is also responsible for the presentation of the drinks and can complement his work with art of coffee with milk. Source: Wikipedia

Okay, maybe you do coffee every morning and it doesn't matter to you if it's done the right way, that's why i'm gonna give you some tips and tricks I've learned working as a barista and tips and tricks that my teacher told me when i did the barista course.

1.- Everything clean!
You have to keep everything you use for make your coffee always very clean! let's imagine you use a coffee pod machine for your coffee (i hate this machines tbh i will tell you why latter) you have to clean it almost every month or maybe every 2 weeks, it depends on the amount of coffee you make every day, in my house i make 2 times in a day coffee with my moka pot so i've to clean it every 2 weeks. i mostly clean the filter plate removing it and the funnel. so my coffee don't taste old.

2.- DON'T BOIL THE WATER!
Always use the cleanest water you can use and NEVER use boil water, it will burn your coffee and the taste will change, when i do my coffee i put the water to boil then i turn off the candle and wait like 10-20 seconds so the water can turn down a little the temperature then i use it for my coffee, the best temp is between 180 and 200°F (82-93°C) but if you do it like me there is no problem

3.- How much sugar should i use?
Not that much, the coffee has it's own sugars. but if you can't handle the taste without it try to use the less sugar you can. In my case i almost never use sugar for my coffee.

4.- Why i hate the coffee pod machine
Ok, so why i hate this machine. i hate it because you can't taste a good coffee using it and can't smell a good coffee, and the coffee it's all about taste and smell, when you visit a coffee store please smell your coffee and enjoy it like it's your last coffee in your life, the barista spend so much time learning for make that coffee for you so please appreciate his work!
