Coffee roasting morning
Good morning fellow steemians, as you may know if you follow me I love coffee so today I am gonna show you how I roast my own coffee beans!
Weighing the beans
I will be using some fine bourbon beans that came straight from my friends coffee plantation. I will be using 250 grams.
HottopUSA coffee roaster
My machine is not super modern or anything, we got it on a bargain but it gets the work done.
We turn on the roaster and wait for it to get to the desired temperature.
Adding the coffee beans
The machine takes around 20 minutes to finish roasting the batch. I like to take it off at a temperature of 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Final product
Delicious freshly roasted coffee, all ready to enjoy!
mmmmm, it's really awesome trust me, the flavors are just wonderful.
Why to roast you coffee?
We roast our coffee to drink it really fresh and trust me, it is really much more delicious this way.
Coffee loses its freshness just weeks after being roasted, so I recommend you always ask for the date of roast when buying gourmet coffee.
Also, it is really fun and not time consuming since you can just leave it while you do other things, always being careful to check it every couple of minutes so it doesn't get burned. and the smell it gives away when its reaching the end, it's just the most delicious thing you will ever feel.
Thanks for reading my post, I hope you enjoy it as much as I did sharing with you.

I'd love to roast. I need to get some gear. What do you think is the best bang for my buck?
Well I've read good reviews regarding the
FreshRoast SR500 Automatic Coffee Bean Roaster
but if you don't really want to spend that much many people seem to be having luck with roasting on a popcorn popper the Wabash popcorn popper.
If you wish to buy it you can do it from my affiliate links freshroast SR500 and Wabash popcorn popper
Hope it helps! feel free to ask for any more information if you need.
