Hello this is the official Steem profile for Julian Coffee. We are a company on a mission to bring back the Puerto Rican Coffee Industry to its maximum potential!
As of now we source our coffee from a single 110 acre family farm in the mountain town of Adjuntas in west / central Puerto Rico.
Puerto Rican coffee is among the best in the world due to its rich in minerals volcanic soil. And high mountains as well as our cultivation practices growing the coffee bushes under plantain trees to keep them in the shade.
The biggest key differentiator between us and coffee from other countries such as Colombia, Kenya, Indonesia and the many more...is that we pay our farmers U.S. wages ( since Puerto Rico is a US territory) which is substantially higher that what the hard working farmers make in the other countries.
