Today, we are very honered and thrilled to announce that : the BITHD Card Edition- Razor is officially launched!n order to help you better understand our new product — Razor, we list some Q&A here:

Question 1: Thinness and firmness is a pair of contradiction, but the hardware wallet needs to be sturdy and durable, because it is more than just a magnetic strip or IC chip. The hardware wallet has a CPU, screen, circuit, battery, and how to design it to be thin and sturdy? It’s tricky, you can’t have your cake, and eat it.
Answer 1: The rear side of the BitHD card is a high-performance aluminum alloy and that is quite sturdy.
The front side is more environmental-friendly PET material; the feel and texture are very good, the bottom is padded with a layer of 304 stainless steel, which is very strong, which is equivalent to all-metal protection, very durable.

Question 2: Which one do you like? Macbook Pro or Macbook Air? We know that sacrificing performance is not a good idea for thinness and lightness. If the screen is sacrificed and the security cannot be guaranteed, why do you need a hardware wallet? However, the performance of the BitHD-Card Edition is even stronger than the BitHD watch1. How do we achieve that?
Answer 2: The card edition does not reduce the hardware configuration, yet, the applied Bluetooth chip is upgraded to the new generation. The transmission rate can be 10 times of the previous generation. The BitHD card is the only hardware wallet that uses the newest Bluetooth chips, and the card edition has higher configuration.

Question 3: The thickness of the credit card is about 1mm, plus the raised number on the card surface is about 1.3cm. How thin is BitHD Razor to be as convenient as a credit card?

Answer 3: The thickness of the first version design is 3mm. After we have done a lot of optimization in circuit design, chip design, battery, charging port, etc., we have tried to reduce the thickness by 0.8mm, and the thickness finally turns to 2.2 mm.

Here are two points:
A. We have done some special adjustment at the button, the buttons are not convex, and the front is flat. You will feel comfortable when pressing it;
B, we do not adopt commonly used micro USB 2.0 charge port on Razor, because it can’t be uniformly thin as the whole body. It would bulge at the charging port, which is not suitable for putting it in the wallet;
Besides, the size of the Razor is 83mm*51mm, which is slightly smaller than the credit card, The reason for the smaller design is because the Razor is anyhow thicker than a credit card, it’s easy to slip out if the card is too light and too thin, so we chose the best idea.

Question 4: We have named our Card Edition a very meaningful name, which expresses typically the characteristics of this product. How would you interpret it?
Answer 4: We name this Card Edition with the name “BITHD Razor” series. This production is the FIRST generation of “Razor”, and we’ll have 2nd and 3rd … in the future. This name symbolized two features of this product: A. Thinness( uniformly 2.2mm); B. Firmness( Metal structure). On the other hand, we want to salute to the RAZR series of Motorola, a classic and over 100-million sales volume mobile phone.
