Actor Cole Brings Plenty, known for his role in "1923," was tragically found deceased in a wooded area in Kansas, as confirmed by both authorities and his family.
The 27-year-old actor was last seen leaving the Lawrence, Kansas area in a white Ford Explorer in the early morning hours of March 31. His disappearance prompted a search effort, with his uncle, Mo Brings Plenty, who is also an actor on "Yellowstone," posting a "missing" flier on Instagram.
Brings Plenty had previously been identified as a suspect in a domestic violence dispute, according to a statement from the Lawrence Police Department. This added complexity to the search efforts, as authorities were actively pursuing him in connection with these allegations.
The tragic discovery came when Johnson County deputies responded to a report of an unoccupied vehicle on Friday. Brings Plenty's body was found in a wooded area nearby. His family, in a statement, expressed their profound sadness at his passing and gratitude for the support received during the search.
Prior to his disappearance, Brings Plenty's behavior had raised concerns. His manager and publicist, Michelle Shining Elk, mentioned that his sudden disappearance without informing anyone of his whereabouts was uncharacteristic and deeply worrying.
Cole Brings Plenty had garnered attention for his role in "1923," a prequel to the popular Western series "Yellowstone." His other credits included appearances in TV series such as "Into the Wild Frontier" and "The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger," according to IMDb.
