Colorchallenge Yellow Lesser Celendine
An overcast cloudy drizzly start to the day accompanied me and the dogs on our daily walk this morning, not very aw inspiring! the none the less a dogs got to do what a dogs gotta do.
We came across this little yellow flower all on its own under a damp elder canopy! with its yellow brightness shining out of the gloomy undergrowth perfect i thought! just what i needed to depict how i think most of the time, as there is always something that can come along to brighten the most gloomiest of days in nature.
The lesser celendine, also known as pile wort, and spring messenger, blooms between february to may, loves clay soil and damp areas and seen around ponds and rivers, the area i walk daily is formerly marshland so is the most likely reason i came across this one! have a nice day all.
