How colours affect the mood and emotional functionality of People
Colours are emotional because they have to do with the eyes and the heart . When we see a colour, we don't only see it with our eyes, we feel it inside also.
A colour that depicts a particular emotional attribute (for example Red depicts energy), we automatically begin to feel that certain type of way that the colour radiates, that's why I am writing this article to throw more light on how the colours we paint our living rooms and bed rooms affect our emotions.
This is mostly neglected in building or house finishing plan, but it is one of the most important because of the effects it has on the occupants of the building everyday from the time they get up from their beds and all the time they spend inside the building, a large chunk of their emotional behaviors is controlled by the aura the colour of the walls expel.
In 1999 it was researched at Creighton University that it is most advisable to use a combination of Blue and Green colours in office spaces, since blue lowers heart rate and Green reduces anxiety and associated with money, it will make the workers be at ease to work and increase productivity level of the workers in such environment.
In my subsequent posts, I will pick colours and then dissect them for our digestion and information.. Colours control our emotions, this is very vital and should always be treated as such in any house or building finishing project..
