Green Thursday: Barton Creek Greenbelt
When I'm in Austin, I try to carve out time to hit the trails of Barton Creek Greenbelt, which are nature-spaces nestled in residential areas but close to downtown. The Complete Guide to Austin Greenbelt Access Points and Trails says it best:
There are multiple greenbelts in Austin, but the Barton Creek Greenbelt is so beloved that locals commonly refer to it as “the Greenbelt,” as if it were the only one. This particular greenbelt is considered one of the top hiking trails in Texas.
