Red Monday: Raspberry Harvest
As we're in the thick of pumpkin pie-making season, I was reminiscing this morning about summertime pies. In particular, the one time a few years ago that I made a raspberry cream pie that was perfect in taste, presentation, and size. I picked the berries at a self-service farm on Sauvie Island in Oregon.
I've since lost the recipe, but not the memories of that day with friends harvesting raspberries or the pie I made with some of the fruit.

Wow, a self service farm where you can pick raspberries sounds like a dream come true! Hope you can remember your recipe for that raspberry cream pie, it sounds tasty!
There are so many farms selling their products directly to the public on their farms and farmer's markets in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, and in my town it's easy to eat fresh and local produce year round. We're lucky and I feel blessed!
