Color Challenge MondayRed 📷 Love and Compassion
In a post by @kalemandra (https://steemit.com/art/@kalemandra/camouflaged-messages-can-you-read-it), she composed a "DaDa" drawing which has hidden the word "Compassion". (I've been following her because she started the @ColorChallenge that I am now participating in.) It provided the inspiration needed take find "compassion" in the #MondayRed color challenge.
Both my wife and I work in a hospital setting; she's a physician and I am an administrator. The hours are long. The commute is crazy. I struggle to balance between family and work. She feels guilty about not spending enough time with her two girls. What drives us to come to work every day are the people who we call colleagues, their love and compassion for the patients and the belief and fulfillment of knowing that we have a role (whether big or small) in making humanity a little better than it was yesterday.
At our hospital, greeters are known as "Red Coat". No, these Red Coats aren't the soldiers of England; they're the faces that meet anxious patients and family members as they enter the hospitals of our health system. They provide patients and loved ones warm welcomes as they are probably going through tough patches of their personal lives.
LOVE is an pop image by American artist Robert Indiana. It was the artist's tribute to his dead father in the 1966 painting. The red and green were meant to recall the sign of the Phillips 66 where he lived as a child and the blue represented the sky of his home state, Indiana.
This image was taken on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. It's a good reminder that we need love and compassion in the professional roles that we play in providing healthcare. It can also be a reminder of what we need in our personal lives to feel fulfilled, and that love and compassion can carry us a long way. Find love and compassion in your life!
Image was taken with an iPhone X.

I love red because I think it's such a passionate color. We can see the flag of every country pretty much has red it it. There's no fence sitting with red and it's gives power.
It's an interesting way to look at the color red.
You got a 50.00% upvote from @payforplay! Please consider delegating steem power to @payforplay. We are currently sharing 100% of our profits with our delegators. That's correct, 100%! It doesn't get better than that. It is essentially running your own bid bot without doing any of the work. Steem power can be delegated here: https://steembottracker.com/delegation.html
