ColorChallenge - Yellow Wednesday - Lithops
Lithops are some of the world's most fascinating plants!

Lithops are also known as "living stones" as they resemble rocks so animals don't eat them. They originated from South Africa and Namibia. They were first discovered in South Africa in 1811 by botanist and artist William John Burchell whenhe accidentally found a specimen when picking up from the ground a "curiously shaped pebble".

Also Lithops require very little water and therefore make ideal house plants for the lazy plant enthusiast :)

Thanks for the information, I didn't know about these flowers. Very decorative, I really love those without flowers...I would love to have a few!
You can get them online and they aren't so expensive.
Thanks, I will search.
