Thank you to all the contestants that put in entries in round 2, we hope you had as much fun creating the entries as we did laughing at the great posts. The entries in week 2 once again caused confusion among the judges. It was a very difficult decision to select this week's winners given how many quality entries there were.
People's Champion - 10SBD
Our champion of the people this week caused a stir by being the third entry in this weeks contest to grab the attention of @curie. With the late entry this week it just goes to show you it doesn't matter when you enter the contest, only that you do enter it. Talent is always spotted and will quickly rise to the top.

It was really hard to choose a Jester this week, the quality of the contenders was astonishing, so many good posts it just goes to show the depth of talent laying dormant waiting to be discovered here in #funny as we all try to discover ourselves and build a sense of community.

Holly wow. Thanks, honestly prize aside the support from people in general and their nice words have motivating me to do more. I’ve never felt more motivated and excited about anything as much as I was for this. Contest creators and curators thank you so much. I hope to do even better and make everyone laugh even more in this upcoming week.
Also I need to point out that this came out exactly at birthday as I was sitting alone at work. Made my day.

This is... Well, this feels just like when I saw the love from curie - I put up my video and a day or two later I suddenly notice this huge amount of upvote value on the post. Blown away completely, it came out of nowhere.
And now this. It just means that I must've done something right with my skit. And seeing all the talent out there on #comedyopenmic only shows that if I want to be included on the winners post next week, I will have to step it up. And step up I will!

I am terribly sorry I hadn't resteemed any of the other entries, that is totally not a behaviour worthy of a People's Champion.
I did go through the list of #comedyopenmic to upvote couple of them, though. I promise to be better in the love spreading department!

I'm pretty sure--no snark or sarcasm even though being genuine actually hurts my colon--that if people keep putting out material this good, Steemit could (or at least damn well should if there were justice in our dark pointless world) become a very important hub for comedy content in general...like "Cracked" but with "funny" replacing "sarcastic boringness."
Haha well I think there is definitely a chance for that . It seems that people have been waiting for an outlet like this and I'm sure it will keep growing and overall create a nice Comedy community on Steemit
