Reasons to support/participate in @comedyopenmic contests:
- Reading #comedyopenmic entries is fun.
- Writing an entry of your own is even more fun!
- Living dangerously by testing which whales will ignore you satirising them will add excitement to your otherwise drab existence, and get you more upvotes and praise than simply venting your spleen about how shit the system is. Disclaimer: I'm not kidding about living dangerously - hefty flags have definitely been given on the basis of not being able to take a joke. ( I know @berniesanders knows this - but some newbies reading this might not)
- Retention: I'm pretty sure the only thing stopping my despair (at the tire-fire of self-voting and thousands of accounts paying bidbots to upvote their inane comments) from driving me to leave steemit for a life as an off-the-grid, vegan-friendly, dog clothing salesman is my involvement in these contests and hanging out with the other malcontents in their discord channel.
