Detecting black holes

in #comets6 years ago

Some binary star systems may contain a star that has turned into a black hole. Gas from the other star would swirl around the black hole before being pulled into it, giving off high- energy radiation, including x-rays.

• x-rays cannot travel through Earth's atmosphere, so they are studied by satellite that send information back to Earth.

•. A hot supergiant star in the Cygnus constellation has an invisible companion called Cygnus X-1. It is probably a black hole.
• There are many other suspected black holes, including a giant one at the centre of our galaxy.

Hi bolajija,
Nice subject you've got there. But there are some tips I'll give you to get handy with for your next stem post.

  • Try to add links to your image sources, and you need to use only copyright-free images. You can refer to this guideline on image sourcing.
  • Also try to make your posts more factual, and add up some details to buttress your points
  • Try to include references to substantiate your facts.
You can join the steemstem discord to rub minds with other stem writers.

Thanks and cheers
