Robert Downey Jr and Benedict Cumberbatch both are incredible actors but if we compare them as Sherlock Holmes character who is better than other ? and interesting thing is both are working inThe Avengers, Robert as Iron Man and Benedict as Doctor Strange . Acting-wise both are great actors but i think Benedict Cumberbatch gives more intense acting for Sherlock character

I would have to give my vote to Benedict. The Sherlock series was the first time I really noticed him as an actor and thought he was brilliant, especially opposite Martin Freeman as Dr. Watson.
Yeah He really was Brilliant and his real career started after doing Sherlock Holmes character after that he was offered big movies

I've only watched Robert Downey Jr. and thought he is great.
One of the funniest things I heard was the fact that the most American Superheroes, Batman and Superman, were being played by Brits.
At the same time, the most British hero, Sherlock Holmes, was being played by a Yank.
You are absolutely right . and you should watch Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock Holmes Season you will enjoy the show and his acting skills .and in my opinion Benedict Cumberbatch is better as Sherlock than Robert Downey Jr.
