Please note: New comic book releases and all items are subject to change
Year Of The Villain Hell Arisen #3 – Well, here it is. The biggest modern speculation comic of 2020. The first appearance of Joker’s new girlfriend; Punchline. Batman #89 was supposed to be the cameo appearance of Punchline, but it gave fans a panel that contained the first look at her mouth, nose and left hand. Idiots Speculators continue to pay top dollar for this comic even though the word is out that this is a big bag of nothing. Professional speculation sites and expert speculators will insist it’s something, just to make a buck. Don’t be silly, buy this comic at cover price (good luck with that), it’s the prize, not Batman #89.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Jennika #1 – Think of the Frank Miller Wolverine limited series back in the ’80s. It was his first solo number one issue and it’s a must-have in a collection. The first female Ninja Turtle gets her solo title. She’s going to be around for a very long time. The Jennika character is gold and a smart creation on the part of IDW. Look for this comic to be a long term hold from the speculative side and to trend mightily out of the gate. An introduction of a new villain adds to the lure of this comic’s value. Writer/artist Brahm Revel will deliver this instant classic.
Ant-Man #2 – New villains appear. Writer Zeb Wells and artist Dylan Burnett.
Hidden Society #1 – Here is a sleeper that will sell out and missed by some because Punchline and Jennika have everyone’s attention. Writer Rafael Scavone and artist Rafael Albuquerque.
Force Works 2020 #1 – New series from writer Matthew Rosenberg and artist Juanan Ramirez.
Tarot #3 – The first appearance of The Unbelievable’s. Alan Davis writes and Paul Renaud pencils.
Crimson Scorpion #1 – New series from Antarctic Press. Creators David Furr and Joseph Olesco.
Laurel And Hardy Meet The Three Stooges #1 – Hard to believe that these two have never met in a comic book before. Here is the first time the two morons meet the three morons. Let the fun begin! Writers; James Kuhoric and S.A. Check, with artist Diego Taple.
Finger Guns #1 – From Vault Comics; creators, Justin Richards, Sabs Cooper and Val Halvorson.
Conspiracy Area 51 #1 – Zenescope Entertainment delivers a comics they say “will change the way you look at life”. Wow, okay. Writers Hans Rodionoff, Adam F. Goldberg and Leonardo Calapietro.
Falcon & Winter Soldier #1 – Disney+ will deliver the television series of the same name here. Writer Derek Landy and artist Federico Vincentini deliver the comic.
Amethyst #1 – DC has tried on several occasions to try and make this character a standout within their catalog. It’s never panned out. Maybe this time it will. Writer/artist Amy Reeder ushers in the new Amethyst era.
Fantastic Four Grimm Noir #1 – A new story from fan-favorite’s Gerry Duggan (writer) and Ron Garney (artist).
Giant Size X-Men Jean Grey & Emma Frost #1 – The first of five different X-stories from various Marvel talents. Writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Russell Dauterman.
Leviathan Dawn #1 – New mini-series from writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev.
Offworld Sci-Fi Double Feature #1 – Here is a double-sided flip cover comic from Antarctic Press. Creators; C.J. Hudson, M.L.S. Weech, Collin Fogel and Igor Wolski.
