Statement for the Spanish-speaking community
I would like you to take a few seconds to look closely at the image above.
What do you see exactly in it?; what is it that transmits to you?
A sunrise? A sunset? New parents who walk happily while they support the wobbly steps of their little daughter?
Possibly there are many valid answers, as many as different points of view and approaches, but do you know what I see in it after looking at it carefully? A great allegory.
The great allegory of the Spanish-speaking community, to be more specific.
A little girl (the growing Hispanic community), the parents who support her (individuals and multiple projects that have the power and knowledge to sustain her as well as a certain responsibility to make her grow strong and healthy), the wild environment where they walk (the platform that we all share, with the infinite number of options it presents to its users) and the dawn or dusk in the background (which can represent both the prosperity of the Hispanic community as well as its gradual decline).
We are all aware of the inexorable passage of time that, in many cases, acts as a judge and that, in all of them and, before or after, as executioner.
This temporal approach leads us to consider two points, at least, regarding the Hispanic community:
- In these years that have elapsed since the creation of the platform, does the Hispanic community have a good trajectory and is it or not being more favored than in its beginnings?
- Do we want to succumb as a community because we do not remain united and do not help each other, encouraging the enrichment of just a few?
We know that the theory is usually very nice on paper but we also know that it is in practice where things start to get complicated; in the same way, we all know that in the two points mentioned above many factors come into play and that it is a much more complex issue than what a priori may seem.
And this is what happens with the invitation on my part to the interpretations of the first image: that there are many possible approaches and everyone will see it from their point of view.
However, as adult users and responsible for a free modern platform and in any case, we can not allow people to suffer from helplessness, savoring indifference to their work every day and seeing how some community members or projects fill their pockets full, while other small users or projects, perhaps with much more talent than those others, do not earn just one dollar a week.
There are, unfortunately, hundreds (maybe thousands) of cases only in the Hispanic community, but today I want to share with you the case of one of those members of our community who wrote an emotional article a few days ago, highlighting the feeling that the vast majority of the community have.
The thread of comments that are opened at the bottom of that article are, undoubtedly, representative of the widespread malaise of a part of the Hispanic community.
Do any of you, who are reading this article at the moment, consider that the decision to build walls on the Mexican border by President Donald Trump, leader of the American world power, is perhaps moral or ethical?
Well I know I do not make a big revelation when I say that what is not moral outside the platform is not inside either.
I think that the time of building ethnic walls, of bombing cities at a distance or of armed wars between groups, is something that outside the platform does not make any sense.
Therefore, I believe that building walls between communities, making wars of flags, making it difficult for any user who does not pay homage to a specific party or try to erect a monopoly in a decentralized free platform, is something that should be meaningless.
We, each and every one of the members of this platform, have the power to make things change for the better on this platform.
In fact, you all have much more power than you can imagine.
Not only raising voices against injustice as they have done, they do and will continue to do some brave ones, but by mastering our destiny and taking control of our future.
Because playing with the welfare or prosperity of future generations in the blockchain should not be anyone's political game.
That's why I say to you, Hispanic community, that your best weapon and the most powerful of all, even if you do not believe it, is your/our union: in it lies the strength.
Do not waste most of your time trying to please a few, trying to fulfill rules without meaning that a few invent or thinking that there is a messiah on the platform that will save you from your situation and make you rich.
Your only messiah is yourselves.
It is told by someone who has been here for a long time and who has founded his own project, trying to unify an important part of the community, to be able to remunerate them day after day, without failing them for a single day.
And that is why I encourage you to mount your own projects and support each other, however small you may be, making community among you, among us.
A small account does not involve any remuneration, but what if twenty small accounts come together? What if two hundred small accounts do?
Believe me: the Hispanic solution is in our/your union and to stop making powerful the powerful ones that only look for themselves.
Let's join.
Let's hold our hands.
Let's work together for a better and fairer Hispanic community.

We have the force! Keep walking is the way
Beautiful theme, friend @dresden.
Without doubt, the image conveys a sense of security.
Whatever the personal interpretation, the obvious thing is that all three people go hand in hand.
Symbol of union, strength, love, on a path full of hope.
As it is in our particular life, we want it to be the same in the Steemit community.
I fully share the good purpose.
I hope every day we are a little less selfish.
My thanks to you
Greetings.
No puedo estar más de acuerdo. Bravo @dresden
