When I was introduced to Steemit, it was through the idea that this was a place to find your community, something I was in desperate need of at the time. When I got on board, however, everything seemed so confusing and BIG I wasn't sure where to land. Until I found the @spl, created by @tuck-fheman.

It's been this community that has reignited my love of writing, of playing with friends and of supporting those projects I have found to be most beneficiary for the Steemit Community. I have heard from SPL community members who are able to help feed the poor in their neighborhoods, kindling hope in an area of the planet in dire need of hope, in part through success in poker tournaments and @spl member upvotes. I've known members loan SBD's to friends in need and many who donate their winnings back to SPL in order for the whole community to continue.
