Bottleneck means the throat of the bottle. As you might have already noticed that the bottom side of the bottle is thicker but the face is much smoother.

Now if you want to remove the balls inside this bottle and if you overturn the bottle, you will see that the balls will come up very quickly but will become very slow when they come near the mouth of the bottle.

This same event happens to our PC's. There are many parts on your PC and they are connected to one another. So, when one part is slow, the rest of it does not work as well. It does not matter if that component has speed in it, one or more parts are holding it back to use its maximum strength. This is the Bottleneck issue which causes our PC to slow down.

For example, suppose you are willing to build a new PC and your budget is high. You buy a high speed /high-quality graphics card with 5% of your budget, but the CPU you buy is a lot slower.

Now notice, when you come home with that PC, you will have sky-high demand. Because you bought a graphics card so expensive that it should be fun to play high-end games, right?

But now when you play the games.
You just can't get a performance like demand, what is the reason?

This is because the GPU depends on the CPU. When the CPU transfers the mathematical data to the GPU, the GPU analyzes them graphically and presents it to you.

Now if the CPU cannot provide fast data, then the first data it gives to the GPU will be consumed and the GPU will wait for the CPU to send another data. So when the CPU is slow, the GPU will also perform slower.

That means, when one of the parts becomes slower, the better part of it will not work properly. Meaning that you cannot use its full propulsion, which is the case with this example.

So now you have a very high-quality CPU, GPU, but the storage you have chosen is a lot of slower. Now you will think now that your CPU, GPU, and RAM is all good, nothing can cause any kind of Bottleneck!

But when you open up Firefox, you see it is spinning around for 5 seconds after Firefox is open. Then you are left wondering what are those good hardwares are doing? Why is your pc slow after having all the good components?

Because this graphics card and the CPUs will work only when your hard disk can give them data to process.

If you click on Firefox then your CPU will need to find it, then your hard disk will gently search all the data and suppose it finds Google Chrome first. Then the HDD will show and ask the CPU if it wants it or not. The CPU will say, no. Then the process of searching and asking will be continuously repeated until it finally finds Firefox.

That means you have to balance the parts of your PC so you can lower the Bottleneck.

But keep in mind that you can't cut off Bottleneck by 100%. You can only try to reduce it.
