Need maximum Protection for your PC? dont use password but use your USB drive as a key to lock and unlock your PC.

People think setting up a password on their computers make it secure but the fact is that passwords can be easily hacked or bypassed so i will advise users to use their USB drivers as a key which cant be hacked or bypassed. Now lets dig into the how to.

STEP 1.
Insert your USB flash drive into the PC you want to Protect.

STEP 2.
We are going to deceive the PC to see the USB as a Floppy disk drive and we can do this by changing its drive letter to "A" .To do this,we hold down the windows logo key and r key simultaneously to bring the RUN box then we type in the box "diskmgmt.msc"

STEP 3.
We are now in disk management,now look for the USB drive you want to make the key ,it can usually be identified by looking at the size as USB usually have smaller size than the PCs hard disk drives.

STEP 4. Right click on the USB and select change drive letter and path.

STEP 5. Select "A" from the list and click on ok.

STEP 6. Ignore the warning and click on yes to save the changes.

STEP 7. Now it can be seen at My computer or This PC that the USB drive is seen as a floppy disk drive.

STEP 8. Now we hold down the windows logo key and r again to bring the run box and enter syskey (in short system key).CLICK ON YES

STEP9. click on update .

STEP 10. Select store stratup key on floppy disk and click on ok.

STEP 11. Click on Ok to save startup key.

STEP 12. Click on Ok again to confirm this prompt.

STEP 13. You will get a message of success confirming that the startup key was changed.

Now without this USB the computer can never load the operating system and this cant be hacked or bypassed.CONGRATULATION ,YOUVE JUST MAKE A KEY TO LOCK AND UNLOCK YOUR COMPUTER, it will always request for this key anytime you boot the system.
incase you want to undo this,follow thsi .

STEP 14. Repeat step 10 and select save startup key locally.

STEP 15. Click on Ok. to save the changes.

STEP 16. You will get a message of success.

To change the drive letter of your USB back,repeat step 4.

NOTE: Incase you format your USB whiles its still the key,you cant use your PC again unless you reinstall OS.
