The video I included the link for above includes a description of my own take on Julian Jaynes' research, i.e. that the right brain analog to the speech center in the left side of the human brain, rather than having always been producing thee "auditory hallucinations" that Jaynes describes, prior to the flood and the event involving the tower of Babel, was serving a purpose similar to the wifi radio in a computer, The ability of the planet itself to suport that kind of thing apparently broke down after the Babel event and it broke down in states. Vestiges such as Jaynes describes including prophecy and oracles continued to exist for many centuries but the idea of telepathy as a general means of communication aawwmingly stopped in a single day, after which spoken languages had to be invented.
My own feeling is that Jaynes was looking exclusively at a period from around the time of Exodus to a time just after the Trojan war, while he needed to be looking at the true antediluvian period.
