His laptop died and we've been having visa troubles cos the British Home office is fairly sucky, and we don't even know where we're going to live. He'll write something when he gets his laptop back and I'll come back soon. X

There's a high chance we will be going to live in France because the UK immigration sucks donkey balls, but, by pure luck, my sister has a friend whose parents retired there, and then changed their mind and have an empty house there.
Gonzo brought a laptop here, at UK crack prices, but the screen flickered from day one; then it went black unless he wiggled the screen a bit, eventually after 5 months he was whacking it. I was just smh the whole time asking why he didn't just send it back.
Gonzo is sure to write something hilarious, when he gets his laptop and his mojo back. X

maybe find a free monitor on craigs list and use it like a desktop puter till buy a new one?

Gonzo gets his laptop back today and the Home Office did a u-turn and granted his visa, after many letters of complaint from me, so we can stay in the UK after all. X

it prolly feels like a long time for you 2 but feels like last month to me that you and gonzo went to the usa. but it was before thanksgivibg so it has been way longer then it feels i guess.

Thanks. We went to the US in November! I actually came back to the UK a few months before Gonzo, because my US visa expired a week before his UK family visa application was rejected. So, we ended up being separated for far longer than the week that we had anticipated.
We didn't much feel like talking about it at the time. Anyway, we are both in the UK now and there's a whole saga about how he got into the UK on a visitor visa, despite his family visa being rejected!
With being separated and Gonzo's laptop issues, you can see why we weren't Steeming much.
Annoyingly, yesterday Gonzo had his laptop back for an hour and the screen started playing up again, so he's gotta send it back again, he's gutted. He could borrow my laptop but he says that it hurts his hands too much, so it will still be a wait for the full Gonzo version of events.
