Decent Memes Logo Contest | My Submissions

in #contest7 years ago (edited)

I submitted a couple of logos for the Decent Memes Logo Contest. The comment section is not exactly "overseeable". So, I decided to delete some of my comments and put all of my logos in this post. Feedback is very much appreciated.
I made black and white and transparent logos, because I think a logo has to work without color. Of course I can combine them with any kind of gradient or flat color in the background or for the logo itself.

  1. and 4. actually looks quite decent.

Hi, I added some logos, what do you think about them?

0 - It looks good but it doesn't have the character to be a meme site logo, more like a furniture store logo.

1 - It's just a visual mess. Elements have different weights (think line width and coloring). I don' t like it.
2 - This one I don't like and it has the same problem as 0.
3 - I like. It has that uniform look and the rounded edges on the letters makes it fit thematically.
4 - I like it. Looks fun, the irregular lines make it look less official.
5 - It's a bit too plain. Maybe with some work it could be ok.
6 - What I think about this one you already know. :)
7 - This one is actually pretty good. The idea to not center the text adds it character and it looks visually pleasing. Good job!
8 - The logo looks massive and the text looks awkward. Can't really tell is it because of the font choice or placement. The gradient in one of the examples would be ok if it din't have the green color in the corner.

Okay, thank you :)
