RE: @Barski announces photo contest - Show me CATS - Round 7 & WINNERS - weekly prize pool of 230 BTCMYC ( bitcoinmyk ) tokens
We were on safari in Queen Elizabeth National Park in Uganda. The brutal dictatorship of Idi Amin in the 70s not only killed hundreds of thousands of people, but also the wildlife was extremely decimated by poaching. This is noticeable until today. There are not nearly as many animals to see as in some other African countries. To see a leopard in the wild a few meters away is really rare. The animals are very shy and well camouflaged. We saw this beautiful animal sitting in a tree (or rather, our guide). We had about 10 to 20 seconds to take a picture. He then disappeared further up the tree and we drove on and left him alone (with a happy grin on our face and joy, about this beautiful photo).
