RE: Finish the Story Contest - WEEK #20

in #contest6 years ago

The officer went immediately to the exit and looked towards Xarag, and tried to stand him up. He stepped towards him and helped him to rise as the great detonations glimpsed a new confrontation.

The sky opened in half and a dark light spread like an echo over the earth. The smell of death came back for more. Xarag's bloody mouth was a wound, a sign of the damage he had suffered: his viscera hurt and threatened to come out through his eyes. The dialogue between him and the officer was deafened by different explosions. The senior officer took up arms and went to the camp. He was one of the first to fall.

By then, the weapons and straps of the soldiers accompanying them echoed, seeking to form ranks and begin the battle anew. Horrifying howls came from all corners, groans that sprouted like from the same earth. In such a hasty trance, the officers disorderly ignored the authority and the incalculable casualties were already evident: the attack was a resounding suicide.

One of them, coming out of the crowd, was the inexperienced officer with the dumb smile. He tried to advance and go against the power of a thousand towers. It was an example of insubordination, a hotbed of hatred and resentment in the world. Suddenly, oh, the cruel fate never raged against such a small mortal and shattered him in an instant. Parts of the man were hanging from the wires and stones, all scattered.

As time went by, the battle got worse, the dust, the blood ran down the ground like a river, the wailing grew and everything threatened to go to ruin. It was a tough fight that turned the whole planet into hell. When the officers managed to repel the first offensive, it was when part of the sky collapsed in a crash. When the officers saw this, they knew it was the end.

Suddenly, marching unmoved, driving people away with her presence alone, she walks through Xarag. The colorful costumes were spectacular, his athletic figure was imposing, a bit slanted. Its image represented the challenge of the small with the large, the mythological climax of the Greek wars. In front of them all, Xarag, the Black Star, emitting a roar of concentrated rage, spread its imposing wings.

Like a dazzling flash of lightning in the middle of the dark night, Xarag's angry, bright eyes gleamed. Everyone knows it's a war between two people now. Two giants who have been waiting for this moment. The die was cast.

You went epic, Nancy! Nice ending for the dumb young officer ;-)

turned the whole planet to hell

Wow... dark and epic. What an energetic conclusion. Good going....

Your story has a very epic flavor, like one of the battles narrated in the Iliad or in the Mahabharata.
I like the description of the unnamed enemy of the Black Star, like a colorful and deadly goddess. Tip!
