Proof of Good Relationship -- 8 SBD Contest
Welcome, o ye beautiful people of steemit. Welcome to my very own contest. The first of its kind. Two days ago I became officially two-months-old on steemit, and in retrospect, one of the things that has helped me survive and stick around on steemit, are contests. So consider this my way of sharing my story, encouraging fellow newbies, and, yes, giving back to the community.
Proof of Good Relationship (Skills)
In this post, after I became a month old on steemit, I wrote about steemit not being proof-of-brain as advertised, but rather proof-of-good-relationship-skills.
While that post was not exactly polemical it tended to sound that way once in a while. At the end of the post I promised to write a panegyrics of proof-of-good-relationship if that post should beat a certain amount. It didn't. Yet here I am.
People People People: A Short History
Disclaimer: The following two, three paragraphs is a short history about how I got to join this wonderful platform. There's a tendency this gets boring, so I strongly advise you scroll down to the contest subheading. But if you'd like to go on this excruciating, rather sentimental journey with me, well, here goes:
THE year was 2017; the month was the last of the year; the situation was dreary at best. I, alongside my best pal, @golddeejay, had just quit our shitty jobs, where we earned about 5sbd per month (assuming the exchange rate at December, 2017). Now the plan then was to find something that could replace that job, and pay us, if not a bit more, then at least that same amount. Boy has our expectations been surpassed! Thanks to @lemmybe who introduced @golddeejay who introduced me the very next day he registered, the rest they say is..
More History: The Commenting Pod
After joining steemit my post payouts were, of course, nothing to write home about. I entered into a lot of contests, though, some of which I won a couple of times, (@sportsncoffee's Daily Pick 'em), and some, even though I didn't win, got me a generous upvote from the organizer (@v4vapid). But when there were no contests, boy, shit was terrible, that is until I saw an invite to join a commenting pod. DieHardSteemit. I decided to give it a try, and since I joined that server on discord, steemit has gotten way way better and way more fun.
Under @aschatria's guidance, all of us at the pod, @ninjadroidx @debbietiyan @firststeps, obtained not only a better knowledge of steemit, but also a platform where we could identify quality users on steemit with quality posts, with which we could engage and make friends. Through this I can proudly say that I've met some of the few Steemians higher than me in SP and reputation, all of whom has supported me one way or another, among which are @full-measure @beginningtoend @guyfawkes4-20 to mention a few.
Proof Of a No-Brainer
History, history, history. What exactly have you been trying to say? Alright here it is, simple and plain: Forget brain.
Sure, writing good thoughtful contents are swell and everything, but not all of us possess that skill. I know a lot of people who have been discouraged about joining steemit because they can't write well enough. Well it's not all about writing. I guess all I'm trying to say in all those words is, three things help you more than anything else on steemit: people, people, people.
So Much Talk So Little $ $
Finally! Here we are. If you've followed me thus far, thank you! If you found yourself bored and had somehow teleported to this place, way to go! The bottom line is I am giving back to this beautiful community that has helped me more immensely than you can possibly fathom, and this is how it'll go.
In no more than 200 words tell me about your relationships on Steemit; the friends that brought you here; the friends you've made here; the friends you've brought here; the friends that helped you stay; the ones that has inspired/inspire and challenged/challenge you like @golddeejay did/does me. In short your whole genealogy on Steemit, I want to hear about. Make it lively. Make it witty. Make it weird. Make it funny. Make it how you want it.

My relationships in real life and on Steemit have only flourished lately! I have spent more time getting to know the internet people over this long winter, but many from real life have joined me here as well (letting us to get to know each other even better!).
For me it started when I clicked a link on facebook, a post by @wwf about some incredible topic that I just had to check out. From there, I was hooked. This internet place and the people here are RAD! I love to engage and along with becoming a Steward of Terra Mater and a Steward of Gondor, I have become connected beyond any expectations.
Among those I brought here from IRL is my off grid community peeps @wisewoof, @offgridnina and @offgridandy. My friends @mindforge, @inamorata, @keithperreault and others. I love to help others out and have delegated small amounts to peeps like @lordsnek, @livesustainably and @geopolis. I love to riddle my blog with undiscovered posts from plankton accounts as well. I can't wait to delegate more! The more I reach out to others, the more friends and followers I make. Honestly, Steemit has restored my faith in humanity! The connections here bring joy <3
--- (not counting for word count lol) Thank you for this lovely contest and chance to express oneself. <3 ---
Well I would say my relationship here on steemit has been spectacular, with different friends who directs me around this platform. I was actually introduced to this platform by a friend @tezzmax. When he told me about steemit I was like damn not this blogging shit lol. I kind of thought it was meaningless not until he continue pressurizing me into this platform and I finally gave in the month of October 2017. I started this like a Joke and surprisingly I started earning some few bucks lol. I was like WOW!! this shit really works lol.. @tezzmax introduced me into different communities on the platform where I got to meet good and influential guys like @destinysaid, @edumurphy , @dante31, @greenrun but to mention a few. I got introduced into the @africaunchained, @airhawk-project and even Steemnaira platforms on social media where I got to interact well with many steemians. My main inspiration is from the boss of @africaunchained I call him Oga Destiny lol. @destinysaid. He has been like a father to fellow minnows especially africans. Where he holds seminars and discussions even meetups about the steemit platform. I would say he has really impacted and inspired me on this platform and not only me but others as well.
Very first entry! Thanks for participating.
Good one @rasamuel. I guess I am disqualified to win this 4 SBD. Way to go...its best to give back to the community that has done good for you.
Lol. Automatically disqualified, bro.
Why am I at Steemit? What am I doing here? First of all hello everyone. :) I had a plan about 2-3 months ago. My had plan that open a website. I was thinking of creating my own blog on this website. I was thinking of writing some writings in my own life on this website and I was planning to write about some of the things I know. Finally my plan was ready. Then I talked to a friend. His nickname @sefalist. I told him in detail my plan. Then he told me about Steemit. He said that I can do the same things that I can do on my own website here. Also he said that I could make money. He also mentioned the opportunity to meet new friends. Then I thought and the project seemed logical. I enrolled at Steemit and learned the system. I started writing articles at Steemit. Every day here was so beautiful. I got a decision to tell Steemit about another friend of mine. His nickname @oguz57. I told him about this system. He liked it website also the system. He liked website also he liked system. Then my friend started to write on his blog. I'm very happy because I added a friend to this system. I made new friends here like @lenatramper. She's really good person. Also she writes very nice post. As a result I am very happy for being here. I made new friends here also I helped my friends to join the system.
I hope you like. Also it is very nice to have these competitions if I have not won any races. Good luck eveyone. :)
I gave the article upvote and I shared the article.
Ok, Hi everyone i'm @kwinesther- a newbie.
I joined steemit late last month(january).
I came here to make an impact in the steemit community, my friend @berylwills told me about steemit and i registered immediately and so far it's been amazing.
I've partaked in a few contests(i haven't won any yet, hopefully one day i will) and i've also invited some of my friends to join the community, well when i joined this community i did not want to make mistakes so i watched some videos about steemit and also browsed on it.
I've learnt a lot from @jerrybanfield, @samstonehill, @silverslay, @stellabelle, and @vincentb videos and i'm still in the learning process, watching these guys have taught me a whole lot. God bless you guys
Okay that should be all for now, @rasamuel thanks for this contest.
Even if i dont win i'm glad i stumbled on this post and i was able to participate.
I was introduced here in steemit last December 2017. My friend,@kneelyrac, inspired me with me her crafts. She never fails to update me whenever there are contests I am qualified to join. I am into writing poems, photography, and dancing. Yeah! You read it right. I joined talent contests and luckily I won 2 times! Woah! Never expected for it because I just wanted to have fun and being rewarded is an extra honor. I have also invited my friends @ydal @janeynarzoles1 @mikoquimpang @itsmegeorgey @urielactub to join me in this journey. I am so happy to have helped them discover the heavenliness of this platform. I say “heavenliness” because it lets us see the beauty of the world. Being able to see amazing things through others’ blog posts is an opportunity to have a glimpse of what this good earth has to offer. I think it is the main purpose of this one- to experience the lives of others. Steemit has paved way for us and I am beyond grateful to have found this great adventure of my life. :)
I was trying so hard not to reach beyond 200 words :D lol . Thank you @rasamuel for this opportunity and Congrats on your achievements here in Steemit! :)
Last month, on a forum, @Lymepoet invited me to join steemit, as it seemed a promising place for us poets. 19 days ago, my account was approved, and so started the journey! Within a few days, I was not only sharing my own poetry but also came across several discord communities that had places to share poetry and other writing, including workshops. These were @isleofwrite and @thewritersblock, and they were quite welcoming! Through them, I have met wonderful people who have been great to chill with as well awesome people that give feedback on my writing, and I do likewise to them or others. There would be more than 10 people to list, so I would rather not mention anyone - nobody deserves to be left out!
Soon after, I found other communities, like Poets United by @angelveselinov, which is more focused on poetry, as well as Block Chain Poets by @moeknows and Die Hard Steemit by @aschatria. I had a huge launch-start. I won a 100 SP delegation by @jrswab (to avoid bandwidth for us promising newbies), I got snekked by @poeticsnake (curation) and won 2 contests! In the meantime, I introduced @peaceinartwork and @eyespluswords to steemit.
Steemit!! Steemit!!
I heard about this platform around mid January of this year from my very good friend @kay1 . We had just returned to school from a long break and one of the first things he told me about after exchanging greetings was steemit. He said "Guy, you know how to put good words together and I'd like to introduce you to something". He has read a number of my posts on Facebook and those I have penned down on paper. He told me about a poem he had written from home and how he expected to win something from it. My first question was "Am I going to pay any amount to start?" (I asked him because I had fallen victim to Ultimate Cycler and MMM. Only Nigerians can relate, lol.) When he said no, I was ready to join Steemit. I registered and I almost quitted when I wasn't approved for about five days. On the day of my eventual approval, @kay1 got free 5SBD for winning a contest. That motivated me even more to "steem it hard" like he always says. He advised me to not post yet and that I should stick to commenting on posts and entering contests, just as he was advised by @rasamuel. @kay1 is who is inspiring me to not give up and stay for a while. I haven't made any friends cos school is leaving little time for steemit. I have succeeded in bringing a friend and a roommate here. He's @kehindeayomide. He's just a few hours old on steemit It's my third week or so on steemit and by participating in this contest, I think I am on my way to earning a cool 4SBD
This is sick!!
And yup! Agree with that completely. Writing is just one thing, but you can use Steem however you want, and with dtube and dmania etc it's starting to get easier to use it just like you'd use other social media.
Exactly! More innovations on the blockchain, and even more to come. Glad you stopped by, bro.
