Welcome to the VDUX Haiku Contest!!!

Do you have 30 seconds free?

If you use those 30 seconds to write 17 syllables about CIRCUITS, you could win 1.5 SBDs in my haiku contest! This one might force you to think creatively. Do you go with tracks? Tours? Trains? Electricity? Possibilities are endless.

Read below for more about the contest instructions, how to participate, awards, and how I'll select a winner. This week's theme comes from @felixgarciap as one of the suggestions from followers (he'll get .005 SBDs for the suggestion).

Contest Instructions

Write a haiku about CIRCUITS.

This must be a one-stanza, traditional 5-7-5 haiku like the ones described here: http://www.kidzone.ws/poetry/haiku.htm . Here’s an example:

I see all angles.

Outside, inside, and back room.

Closed circuit TV!

You may submit multiple haikus, but PLEASE make each haiku its own reply. Each one will be considered a separate entry.

How to Participate

  1. Reply below with your haiku. Deadine: 11:59 pm UTC, May 5, 2019.
  2. Upvote this post. Deadline: 11:59 pm UTC, May 5, 2019.

That's it! But...

You should also resteem this post to increase the winner's prize and give yourself some free exposure! You can participate without resteeming -- I don't give preference -- but if you do resteem, it helps all of us.

Also, post your entry on your own blog! Let me know and I'll give you an upvote and resteem your post.

And, collect a bonus point for each person you tag in your contest entry. More players, more prizes, more fun!

Awards

Winner gets:

  • 1.5 SBD
  • One resteem from me for any post. (You choose the post. There's no time limit but I reserve the right to refuse resteem any post I consider offensive or indecent -- I'll simply ask you for a different, non-offensive post.)

One runner-up gets:

  • One resteem from me for any post. (You choose the post. There's no time limit but I reserve the right to refuse to resteem any post I consider offensive or indecent -- I'll simply ask you for a different, non-offensive post.)

How I Will Select the Winner

Within 2 days after the deadline, I will read all entries and choose a winner and runner-up. While I'll take upvotes into consideration, my selection will reflect my personal preference based on the entries you submit.

Feel free to reuse a haiku from the past and write as many as you want!

Also, give congrats to all who've participated in my previous contests -- the list keeps growing!

Sort:

Mindless supermind
Just a pile of dead circuits
Saplings grow from rust

Maybe all this stuff we have, one day.

Here ya go! I had to fix it some so I deleted my previous entry.

I am but a limp hamster

Amazing! Very creative thinking, I see you have the holidays on your brain!

hahaha yeah why you know...

Hello @vdux, thanks for selecting the topic that I proposed on circuits, here is my contribution and publication.

Integrated brain ...
with countless circuits allow
life in the real world.

Brilliant! Man's first computer, right?

Hey, here is the post and haiku.

They did not connect,
Many circuits in my brain,
So I lost the game.

Ha! I do that all the time. Crappy circuits.

While I'm at it:

Too low a voltage
Conducting threshold not reached
No current will flow

Base at high voltage
Big flow into emitter
Full saturation

Push against the gate
If there is a source somewhere
We can now drain it

See the voltage drop
Resistors are not futile
Current is reduced

Round and round it's wound
It likes a constant current
Changes are opposed

Two flat conductors
Isolation between them
Voltage is smoothed

Circuit Breaker

So today’s haiku fo is a bit different
as it includes 2 bonus haikus for emotional catharsis

Yes it is your fault
love fried the emotions chip
and now I am fucked

(Reboot the hard drive
erase you from the system
you are a virus

Yet still there you lurk
spectre, ghost in the machine
the worm in my heart )

That's a hell of a metaphor and a great entry. Based on experience?

Deep. Read it several times and enjoyed it very much.
I wish you a speedy recovery from your fried emotions chip.

thank you and me 2 lol

Ode to a Diode
Too low a voltage
Conducting threshold not reached
No current will flow

Sounds like a terrible way to diode.

(SEE WHAT I DID THERE???)

Base at high voltage
Big flow into emitter
Full saturation

Full saturation is a great band name. I'm using it!
