Recipe: Hand Molded Vainilla Cookies
Welcome!!!
Here you´ve got one of my favorite recipes, these cookies are simply delicious! : D
A funny story about this recipe is how many tries it took me to actually achieve it, I used to mixed it more than necessary and because of that I always ended up with a liquid dough xD But with practice and dedication everything is achieved! ;D
Ingredients:
- 500gr Powdered Sugar.
- 500gr Flour.
- 250gr Butter.
- 3 Eggs.
- 2 Tbsp of Vanilla.
Supplies:
- 1 Big Bowl.
- 1 or 2 Pastry Bags.
- Wooden or plastic spoon.
- 1 or 2 Cookie Trays.
- Waxed Paper (optional).
Dough:
- Pre-heat the oven at 350ºF.
- Butter and sugar are mixed briefly in a bowl (avoid mixing too much or it will lose consistency).
- Add the eggs and vanilla to the previous mixture, mixing carefully from the side of the bowl to the centre.
- Add flour and continue mixing, bringing the sides of the dough to the centre, until they are equally mixed, do not exceed the mixing to avoid the loss of consistency. (Make sure you turn the bowl while mixing and don’t forget about the bottom, BE THOROUGH!)
- Cool 1 to 2 hours, place inside a pastry bag with the shape of your preference.
Baking:
- Cover the cookie tray with wax paper or grease with butter and shape the cookies.*
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes. (In case of using butter in the tray, remove the cookies with a spatula immediately after taking them out of the oven).
*The trick to get perfectly shape cookies is to maintain the same level of pressure and uniform pulse while the cookies are being shaped. Before shaping them on the cookie tray, practice a little on a plate until you get used to it, this will help you a lot!
