Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamani lashed out at the foreign media on Sunday over the Corona virus. Khamnei alleged that foreign media tried to 'discourage' the public from voting in Iran's general election by showing fear of the Corona virus. Voting for the parliamentary election in Iran took place on Friday. However, a low turnout was already expected in the general election.
Supreme religious leader Khamnai said, "This negative publicity started a few months ago and the election got bigger as the elections approached." In the context of a virus and its disease, the foreign media has not missed even the smallest opportunity to discourage the public from voting. Even our enemies oppose any election in Iran. '

Significantly, as of Saturday, five people have died in Iran from the Corona Wire. As a precaution, the government has ordered closure of schools, universities and other educational institutions in all the 14 provinces from Sunday. The fear of Corona has become so prevalent that people are being appealed not to shake hands by posting posters in place to prevent this infection.
