The humans that are best in distress

I couldn’t be more grateful than with my mother offered to pay my rent because of my being laid off due to the coronavirus thing.

She kicked me out of her house at the age of 18 and has basically shown me nothing but Toughlove ever since. That departure was 20 years ago and now I’m lucky if I get $100 on my birthday and Christmas since they’re so close together- (January 15th ).
I don’t know if it’s because maybe she feels she’s nearing the abyss and there’s no reason to be Cold anymore (when she knows I’ve been my own man for almost 20 years now).

Granted I’ve had my share of fuck ups, and I still drink (being Relegated to the service industry from not going to college just landed me in the position of Bartender). -oh fuck, I’m creating alibis for myself. I guess the first step is realizing it though! Back to my mother and her random generosity.

  • It was just the humanity in at all.

I feel like people are coming together and really starting to help each other. Like finding a permanent solutions and not just Band-Aids. Don’t just give Amanda fish give them a damn job fission is what I’m saying!

I’ve been super fortunate to find a craigslist job Three days after I got laid off and hopefully it’s going to keep being a repeat so life is good. Especially when Unemployment for a bartender is only $120 a week!

I really hate it for you guys that are in full quarantine but just realize, if you take this time and use it in the most productive ways, your entire life could change for the better because of it. The decision is yours as to what you do with this extra “forced hiatus” time.

This too shall pass, as my mother who is now 19 years sober in Alcoholics Anonymous tells me.
😐
I’m here for anybody to DMS me or emails me. Best regards
Peace and understanding ,
James
