RE: The Fear Is Worse Than The Disease

in #coronavirus5 years ago

I find this funny. Yes, the hysteria is overblown

It will be the same hysteria that slows down the spread.

Then the skeptics will look at the numbers (thanks to the hysteria) and say it wasn't as bad as they said it would be.

But the thing is... I could be if we didn't take distancing seriously.

Sort:

Couldn't agree with you more, without social distancing things would get overwhelming fast. I live in the middle of a hotspot and this thing is extremely contagious. Sure, most people barely feel the disease, but if everyone went about their lives as usual and infected everybody then hospitals couldn't handle the severe cases anymore.

More people have it than they know.... throwing off all numbers.

The die rate is higher and it spreads easier than the flu.

Those are the facts, anything else is noise at this point.

Oh yeah, here only a select few get tested, like people who work at the retirement home. Everyone else is asked to stay indoors and live through the symptoms if they have any. Basically deal with it on your own type of thing.

The reported numbers don't come even close to the real picture.
