I think there’s a lot of conservative or alt-right figures that are capitalising on a potentially huge online market and will try hard to portray a certain character or conform to a certain stereotype; while not being consistent with that in their private life. There’s a lot of opportunists out there that want a share of the market, and some are willing to fake it until they make it, not all genuinely believe in what they promote to others. I have no right to say whether their politics is right or wrong, but I detest those that are fake and lacking in authenticity, no matter what their politics may be.

Likewise on the left, you have some of those involved in the whole #metoo thing that could be viewed as golddigging, money grabbing liars; male feminists that are later proved to be sexual abusers that are projecting to hide evidence of their own guilt. Those that call everybody racist are often shown to unwittingly be more racially prejudiced than many of those that are truly far right or are shown to be ‘privileged’ themselves, while attacking others for merely being less unfortunate than those from their pet minority group.

People should listen carefully to arguments and look past the marketing, the pretty faces, the fancy YouTube editing, the ghostwritten books. Many of these supposed role-models or stars are never quite what they seem and they will ultimately disappoint you.
