My first time playing CS:GO

So: CS:GO is a pretty realistic game. SOMETIMES. Other times, the game is just downright broken but all in all, its a pretty fun game and I've wasted many days playing it. But, coming from a PS3 and being used to COD with all its jumping round corners and super accurate guns, it was obvious that there was a massive difference. That main difference was trying to compensate for the recoil of guns. My irl friend came round and we installed the game on my PC. It was £6 at the time (#SteamSummerSale) and it was worth every penny. He showed me how to play, and even though he was Gold Nova 2 at the time, I thought he was sick. So, my first time playing was interesting. We hopped into a deathmatch server and started to practise. I think that when everyone starts playing CS:GO, they aim at the floor, and I was no different. I was aiming at the floor and barely damaging the enemies. Then, my friend told me to aim higher, at stomach level so the recoil would make the bullets go from the stomach to the head. It was so much different! I downloaded a community map which helps practise your spray control and after 20 minutes, I was playing ok. After my first week of playing CS:GO I found that I was drastically improving. After about a year of playing CS:GO I now have a £30 inventory and I'm also stuck in DMG hell and cannot get out of it.
