Covid19 news for srilanka

The World Health Organization (WHO) Guidelines on the management of a #dead body (dated 24 March 2020) in the context of #COVID19 is very clear.

The #WHO emphasise that there is no evidence that the virus can… More be spread by the dead.

#Burial of the dead is permitted. The Guidelines very clearly state on how both cremations and burials can take place.

The Guidelines also emphasise on the importance of #respecting the dead and their cultural and religious practices or beliefs.

This is a difficult time for all of us. But more so for those who are losing their loved ones.

If we say we are following the WHO Guidelines, then we need to follow it completely.

We don’t need to lose our #humanity with this virus. And we don’t need to use it to justify our own #prejudice and #racism.

If we let that happen. This virus would have won.

We are better than that Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰
