Matryoshkas / Russian dolls as a gift for a teacher
I'm Russian, what are the Russians famous for? That's right, Russian vodka, balalaika and Matryoshka! That's why since I moved to France, I'm being asked to offer as a present something authentic such as... noooooo not vodka, balalaika is also not for everyone, but Matryoshka can become a memorable detail of any interiors ))
And this time wasn't an exception, my son's teacher loves Russian traditional dolls, and I had no doubt when choosing to paint a set of them for her. I chose a Khokhloma, a traditional Russian style of decorating woodwork, that includes three colours: back, red and golden. I tried to make them different, every lady with her own character.
Here is the result of one day of painting and another day of varnish covering:
And here is the step by step process:
Lovelly...👍
Thank you for the compliment ) the girls are really lovely ))))
