There’s a Financial storm brewing, are you prepared?

The news outlets are finally admitting that after Japan’s economic regression following China’s economic slump, that we are due for another economic downfall. The last time we felt this was the GFC of 2007–08. In truth, this downward market will be majorly affected as a result of that crash and its consequences still having to be felt. A lot of the measures banks used to “correct” or at least, limit the damage of the GFC, may not be so readily available this time. They can’t really reduce interest rates any further, although potential government bail-outs can never be ruled out. The question is: are you prepared?
Your next question may be: how do I prepare? The news outlets are recommending getting monies out of stocks and shares. Where do you put it? Well, the best investment is in you. Whatever climate we come into that which can never be denied are the skills and abilities that bring value to the marketplace. Your determination and ability to go out and bring value will always have that: value. Those that don’t know how to do this will suffer. Therefore, a best first investment for many is to learn how to do just that.

With the cloud of economic doom curling overhead it must be true that those that know how to sell themselves and those that learn how to develop this skill, will come out the other side stronger. If job security is at risk now is the best time to learn how to pitch your number one asset, a.k.a. you. We no longer live in a world of CVs and emphasis on degrees. One of the top accountancy firms has said that they will no longer look upon the attainment of a degree so highly and welcome those without formal qualifications. They are looking for the same as everyone. Those that can bring value and the best way to illustrate that is to demonstrate the value that you represent and can bring to the marketplace. For those that can do this, the silver lining surrounding every cloud may shine true light of opportunity not just for now but for life.
