RE: Curation and other weird squirrels of distraction

There are other Steemians setting up alt accounts so that they make use of their other vested tokens and don’t deplete their Steem vp. I am guilty of posting through actifit with a photo of my own and a short blog but the lack of engagement means that spending more time on a post as I used to in 2017 does not necessarily translate into more votes when my vested Steem is low!

agree, it's a bit of an issue. until steem increases to a decent level, aint nobody but the third worlders making good money on this platform. however its no reason to get lazy either. if you want to do an actifit post, do an actifit post with additional verbal content. if you want to do a photo post, do a photo post, with something about the photo to engage the reader besides the specs.

I stand by the definition of a good post as one that has at least thirty engaging words. Its not that much.

my point is I'm not giving a hundred percent vote to a post with one photo and no word content. It just doesnt deserve it in my opinion, unless its a one in a million shot. I could make a one photo post once every ten minutes and lambo on my auto vote, but it's against my personal ethics. I'm not here for short term money.

Someone who writes a short thought provoking essay and has more than two photos is much more likely to win a decent upvote.
