art/storytelling/poetry/music to my ears @derangedvisions

I've watched with sadness as interesting creative content has consistently been undervalued more and more over the last year on steem. Also, that type of content is becoming rarer and rarer.

The fact is that if everyone wrote nothing but HF21 posts then we would have zero market appeal outside of steem. If the only posts that get any meaningful rewards on here are those about steem blockchain politics, or 'future of steem' posts, or 'my vision of steem' posts then steem is doomed to fail. My reasoning behind that statement is that we need to incentivise high quality creative works that will appeal to the masses just as much we do high quality journalistic writing.

At the moment - however well written - what is being incentivised is an echo chamber of information that has little to no interest to anyone other than an elite few hundred people who are heavily involved in steem and steem governance.

I really hope creative coin helps bring back some of the high quality creatives that have left, and helps retain those who are already here.

I had a similar idea for a project with communities & SMT last year but I couldn't push it forward for various reasons.

We are also hoping that the Creative Coin discord becomes a place where all of the creatives on the platform can come together and have a good time and share ideas on their different projects that they are working on.

Awesome, you've got my support 100% 🙂

P.s. I'm gonna tag some creative writing projects in this comment who should definitely know about creative coin.

With the implementation of the tribe system here on Steemit, it is giving everyone the ability to find their niche and to have a way to fine tune their audience they are broadcasting their posts to and not be lost among the posts that are constantly being put out there. The different tribes and their tokens associated with them are just another layer added to the Steem ecosystem and a way that makes this blockchain so amazing for creators and investors alike.

I agree that it has been sad to see the decline of the creative type of content, but we are hoping that there will be a resurgence as Creative Coin rolls out. Thank you for the support as we move forward.

very well said my friend xx

Yes, yes and yes x

So true!

To further support your comments, I have noticed that of the over 200 accounts I have followed because I loved the original content they posted, only 20 or so are still actively sharing new content two years later. I think the rest of them left because they got tired of having their content being unappreciated.

Even after the last hard fork, I think some of them closed their accounts. Many people set their accounts to autovote on trails, and probably didn't know how badly the HF would impact their decision. I think some of the people who followed me back only set the autovotes up because they probably thought it was easier to earn money that way than to create content.

July has been a wonderful blessing. Finding new rewards springing up in the steem engine wallet every day without even trying, it's a budding utopia right now.
