Learning with Lego. A Night with the Nexo Knights:
Lego Time!
Lego is a great activity for kids. It enhances their creativity, patience and persistence, problem solvings skills and a lot more.
It can be expensive though. So what we have been doing so far is create different designs through blocks. All divinekids enjoy working with blocks.
Kuya, now 9 years old, has already outgrown these blocks. Com'on! We know there's a lot more enjoyable things we can create with Lego. haha
Good thing, we chanced upon this small Lego Nexo Knight packet when we were strolling in the mall yesterday. It was just AED 20 ($5.43), for kids 7-14 years old.
Creating His Master Piece
Kuya started off with putting together the King's Guard. It was not too hard.
Then the motor horse. This one was a bit complicated but there were instructions to follow.
Got stuck with Step 10...which really tested his patience.
Finally, he decided to call it a knight night, rest and continue the following morning when his mind is fresh.
Motor Horse is Finally Completed!
King's Guard Got to Ride the Motor Horse
The King's guard can hold his spear and gun or mount them on the Horse.
Oops! Friendly reminder, do not point the gun to someone's face. Small parts are there that can hurt the eyes.
When you put pressure at the back of the horse, the 2 small wheels explode (pop out)! Then the front wheels have spikes. Cool right?
Hopefully, we will be able to find more cheap Legos. Haha. Or perhaps go to Legoland Dubai. That would be great!
Oh, well... soon maybe!
Lessons Learned
"I learned to be patient and learned how to follow instructions. Check all the steps and make sure you don't miss anything."
