If We Had a Time Machine: Reflections on Humanity’s Choices
It's hard to bear the news anymore, with conflict, suffering, and division everywhere. Wars rage, while political and religious groups spread hate, each convinced their way is right. The world seems determined to repeat cycles of power and greed, ignoring the real costs.
The world as we know it is out of balance, filled with refugees and good people fleeing their destroyed homes, devastated by the actions of powerful officials. Instead of finding solutions to stop this insanity, we build higher walls and refuse people at borders. Leaders cling to power, ignoring the toll it takes on the people and the planet.
What would you do if I gave you a time machine?
Most would go back for financial gain or to stop someone like Hitler. But if you could travel in time, why kill? You don’t need to destroy to change; just catch a figure like Hitler and drop him with the dinosaurs before he gains power.
I would travel back and prevent the invention of land ownership and titles, put real team workers in charge, and drop those who seek to harm others somewhere in time with the dinosaurs.
While we're distracted by wars, greed, and envy, we treat our planet like we treat ourselves: wasting, dividing, and destroying the place.
