Sri Lanka likely to host India-Pakistan series in December
The procedures had been optimized once Shashank Manohar, the BCCI president and current ICC director met his Pakistani partner Shaharyar Khan and senior authority Najam Sethi, in Dubai, within the sight of ECB supremo Giles Clarke. Without unveiling any points of interest, both Sethi and Khan had said on Sunday that the gathering with Manohar was "productive", giving a sign that the gridlock on the marquee arrangement was broken.
"Since PCB will require the authorization of Nawaz Sharif before going authority, Shaharyar Khan should backpedal to Islamabad and look for the Prime Minister's consent. When he gets the green light from the PM, he will again return to Dubai and cozy his choice to Clarke. Clarke is probably going to formally declare the arrangement on November 27," the source said.
It has been learnt that Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has been drawn nearer by PCB and they appear to be quick to have the arrangement. The two stadiums reserved for the arrangement are Khettarama (R Premadasa Stadium) and Pallekele (Kandy). While the retreating storm has hit the island country gravely, the climate conjecture for the last piece of December looks encouraging.
While some household T20 matches are planned at Khettarama, SLC will reschedule them at the primary notice, once an official declaration is made by the concerned overseeing bodies.
